Directory Description:
We implement the Social Thinking framework developed by Michelle Garcia Winner.

Lessons are developed based on a student's current level of social competency, family goals and individual goals. A free consultation is required to determine areas of need for either a social group or for individual sessions. Sessions are one hour in which 50 minutes is spent with clients and the remaining ten minutes is spent to wrap-up with parents/guardians. We do our best to promote consistency when learning vocabulary and concepts. We feel strongly that the continuity between home, school, and 2 Be Social is in place during the development of new social skills.

Includes a 20-30 minute meeting with parent(s), immediate family members, and/or prospective client

Children, teens and adults participate in group and/or individual sessions. All sessions focus on learning the tools and strategies in order to promote social and emotional competencies. Individual sessions are customized to progress from the individual's current level of social awareness and ability. Groups are formed between 2-4 social learners who present with similar strengths, needs and age.
Camps and Summer Programs:
2 Be Social offers weekly social learning camps throughout the summer. Each camp experience is as unique as the campers attending. The focus is on having fun while creating a safe, comfortable environment in which students are given the opportunity to increase their social awareness and ability to effectively work with others.
Detectives: Ages 5-7 It takes important skills to become a social detective and œcrack the hidden social code!
Superheroes: Ages 8-11 Campers will œunveil the Superhero within! It takes strength and power to overcome our impulses that sometimes hinder our social relationships.
Dragons: Ages 11-16 Get ready to be immersed in the realm of Ryuu! Participants will evolve their own Japanese dragons through role play.
