About the Topic: Brenda Eaton will focus on the behavioral principles behind teaching self regulation, self awareness and self advocacy skills. Learning independent and interdependent skills are the keys to experiencing success in society. This meeting is geared toward parents and/or caregivers of adolescents and young adults.
About Brenda Eaton, MEd, BCBA: Brenda has worked in the field of autism for 10 years. Brenda coaches students on the autism spectrum who are interested in going to college. In addition, she supports an Adult Social Group once a month at West Chester University. Through her work at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, Brenda is involved with diagnosis, consulting and support for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Brenda is the parent of three children, two of whom are on the spectrum.

ASCEND & Penn Autism Network Annual Conference
This conference focused on issues related to adulthood and ASD. Keynote presenter John Elder Robison spoke on the topic of “Illuminating Insights on Autism, From a Life with Asperger’s.” Robison is the acclaimed author of Look Me In the Eye: My Life with Asperger’s. This conference featured 18 workshops and more than 20 exhibitors.
